FedEx® ShipAlert: This is a free service that provides an (email) notification to you and/or the gift recipient.  The notification contains package tracking information, who the gift is coming from, and when delivery is scheduled. To take advantage if this service, select the ShipAlert  feature during check out.

What if no one is home when FedEx® delivers?

Featured Recipe

FamilyChef.com pre-authorizes FedEx® to leave your package at the door if no one is home at the time of delivery.  The only time they will not, is if the courier does not feel the delivery location is secure or a location is unattended, providing easy public access.  (e.g. an apartment building hallway, etc.)   Most residential and delivery locations are fine.

However, if you still have a concern about the delivery location, we advise that someone be home to accept delivery or simply leave written instructions for the
FedEx®  courier. (e.g. "Please leave package with the next-door neighbor, etc.")

Delivery Service Guarantee

Family Chef products are shipped Monday's and Wednesday's using "FedEx® Express" Services.  Your package is guaranteed to arrive on or before the day specified in our Shipping Schedule.  If it does not, we will gladly refund the full amount paid for shipping that item.

FedEx® are not responsible for packages that cannot be delivered (to include loss of perishable contents) due to an incorrect or incomplete address or are delayed due to acts of God (such as weather) or circumstances beyond our control.

Note: In the extremely rare event your package is not received by the end of the day specified in our shipping schedules, notify us immediately (within 24 hours).  We'll investigate the cause and provide immediate feedback & fair resolution. support@familychef.com

Address Correction Fee: If you provide an incorrect or incomplete shipping address (i.e. forgot to include the apartment number, transposed zip code digits, zip code doesn't match the city, etc.), we will charge the purchaser a $15 "Address Correction Fee" to offset the expense of having the package re-routed to the correct address.  The best way to avoid this fee, is to simply provide a complete and accurate shipping address.
